學術研究資助計劃

為倡導與天主教有關之研究，本學會為非本地學者設立不同形式之合作計劃或資助項目。有意者請選擇適當的項目及提供有關詳情，然後將計劃書電郵至: sponsorship@yuandaohk.org 或郵寄至: 香港大埔郵政局郵政信箱679號「原道交流學會」收。

一．非本地學者短期訪問研究計劃

本學會接受非本地學者來港作短期訪問，期限不超過六個月，按情況由本學會決定時間長短。本計劃主要以研究寫作為主。研究計劃完成時，需提交最少一項研究成果（論文或書籍）首先供本學會《天主教思想研究叢書》出版；研究成果若非由本學會出版，則需在出版物中鳴謝本學會的資助。

有意參與這項計劃的訪問學者請提供以下資料：

  1. 個人履歷及曾參與之研究項目及成果
  2. 訪問性質（如講學、研究寫作）
  3. 建議研究之主題、主要內容及特點
  4. 研究的原因及重要性
  5. 預期的研究成果
  6. 需要來港研究的原因
  7. 需要的其他支援

二．研究出版資助計劃

本學會將出版一系列之《天主教思想研究叢書》，歡迎學者提供相關書稿及出版計劃。經本學會接納後，作者須將完成作品交由本學會審議、編輯、校訂及出版，並由本學會支付相關之印刷費用。不設稿酬，唯作者可取得不少於20本之樣書。印刷及網上版權則歸本學會擁有。作品在香港出版兩年後，作者在取得本學會之書面授權後，可將其作品交由國內出版社出版及發行簡體字版。

Sponsorship Programme (English version)

Sponsorship Programme

To promote research in Catholic Studies, the Society established various program on cooperation or sponsorship, for local or non-local scholars to apply. For those who are interested, please choose the relevant item and submit detailed information as listed. Application can be sent to the Society by email to: sponsorship@yuandaohk.org or by post to: Yuan Dao Study Society, P.O. Box 679, Tai Po Post Office, Hong Kong.

Short-term Visiting Scheme for Non-local Scholar

The Society will accept non-local scholars for short-term visit, lasting not more than six months. This scheme is mainly for research and writing, but not excluding teaching and other academic activities. Upon completion of the visit, the visiting scholar has to submit at least one research product (such as paper or book). The Society will consider to publish it under the name of the “Catholic Thought Studies” The author only need to acknowledge the Society if the research product is not published under the name of the Society.

For those who are interested, please provide the following information: 

  1.  CV and previous research experience and product;
  2.  nature of visiting (such as research, writing and teaching);
  3.  proposed theme, main contents and characteristics of the research project;
  4.  reason and importance of conducting such research;
  5.  expected research result;
  6.  reasons for coming to Hong Kong to conduct such research;
  7.  other needed support.

Publication Scheme

The Society is going to publish a series of books called “Catholic Thought Studies” . Publication proposals and manuscripts are welcomed. Upon acceptance of the proposal, the author should submit the final draft for review, edit, proofread and publish. The Society will be responsible for the publication fee. No renumeration will be given for writing but the author will obtain not less than 20 copies of the publication. The Society owns the copyright of the printed and on-line versions of the book. The author can publish the book in mainland China in simplified Chinese two years after the original publication in Hong Kong with the written permission from the Society.

Qī Zhì Chāo (漆志超)，of the Han nationality, Doctoral Degree Student at the Faculty of Religious Studies, School of Philosophy, Wuhan University.

The aspect of his research is the comparative study between Process Theology and Chinese Buddhism.  His most recent achievement:

  • ‘The Theological Perspective of the Space-Time Debate between, on the one hand, Gottfried Wilhelm Leibniz, and on the other, Isaac Newton and Samuel Clarke’, Journals of Huazhong University of Science and Technology, Vol. 6, 2013.

Mr Qī successfully finished gathering reference materials for his doctoral dissertation at Yuan Dao Exchange Centre from March to April in 2015.

Liú Lì Xiá (劉麗霞), of the Han nationality, Professor at University of Jinan.

Professor Liú’s research focuses mainly on the relationship between Christianity and Chinese-Foreign literature. Her most recent achievements are as follows:

  • ‘The Translation and Promotion of Chinese Classical Literature of Missionaries to China in Modern Times’, Dongyue Tribune, Vol. 10, 2012.
  • ‘The Review of the Religious of Sacred Heart of Mary on Chinese Modern Literature’, Modern Chinese Literature Series, Vol. 2, 2011.

Professor Liú stayed at Yuan Dao Exchange Centre in February and March 2015 to carry out academic research, aiming at collecting further details to complete the writing of the book ‘A Study of Missionaries to China and Chinese Literature in Modern Times’.

Lĭ Hăi Yīng (李海英), of the Han nationality, Professor at Shandong Normal University.

Professor Lĭ undertook the “Research on Chinese Documents of Missionaries to China in Modern Times” (a research of the Ministry of Education; investigation report published) recently.

  • ‘The Chinese Grammatical Language System of “Mandarin Grammar”’, Contemporary Linguistics, Vol. 4, 2014.
  • ‘Examine the Academic Achievement of “Mandarin Grammar” from the Viewpoint of the Block-Printed Edition of “Daishin-Bunten” (Chinese Grammar Text) of Meiji Era Japan’, Theory and Practice of Libraries, Vol. 4, 2013.

Professor Lĭ stayed at Yuan Dao Exchange Centre to carry out academic research in February and March 2015, and will soon complete a series of theses on Chinese writings of missionaries to China in modern times, including The Chinese Rhetoric Notions of the Missionaries Who Came to China during the Periods of Ming and Qing Dynasties and Missionaries to China in Modern Times and the Compilation of Chinese Teaching Materials, etc.

Hú Wèi Qīng (胡衛清), of the Han nationality, Professor at Shandong University.

Professor Hú’s recent research included the publication of Sufferings and Faith:

Professor Hú stayed at Yuan Dao Exchange Centre to carry out academic research from 15th May to 14th August 2015, and will soon finish a series of theses on Christianity in Chaozhou-Shantou after the establishment of the People’s Republic of China, including Research on Catholic Reformed Campaigns in Chaozhou-Shantou Areas, The Connections between Chaozhou-Shantou Churches and Overseas Economics, The Cross and Clans’ Beliefs, and etc.
